LMT .308MWSE

Hey everyone sorry its been so long since I've written anything. Im back now though and i have purchased a few new guns including my new favorite. From the Lewis Machine & Tool Company (LMT). Their "LMT .308 Modular Weapon System) is absolutely great! This semi-auto AR platform rifle is a great gun for shooting whether it be hunting or at the range. Although it is really heavy to carry around when hunting, because you add the scope, grips, ammo and it turns out to be about 11-12 pounds. But I have shot 3 deer with it so far. It was great accuracy. So far i have been shooting at around 600m and hitting with a 5" spread. There are currently a few rivals to this gun like the LWRC R.E.P.R. and the DPMS 308. But after shooting them all I prefer the LMT. it has a great feel, good weight, you can feel and see the quality and it shoots smoothly with very few jams. The recoil is not bad either, the weight absorbs most of it. Note: id buy a shell catcher because it ejects those casings 15 feet. so duck if you are on the right side.
Cleaning isn't bad, if you get the chrome bolt its even easier, but like any AR it takes times and patients. But what i love is that the barrel is easily removable, 2 bolts hold it in place but you get a torque wrench with the gun so its very easy only takes a minute.
IMPORTANT FOR RELOADING AND BUYING AMMO
For the best result if you do your own reloading use.
Hunting: Powder- 42 grain of Hodgdon Varget, Bullet- 30 cal. Hornady Interlock soft point, Boat-tail, 165 grain, Casing Reshape- (important or gun will jam) RCBS small base die and

There is a military version being made as well called the L129A1 which is currently being used by the British Armed Forces. It is primarily used in sniper squads and as a long range support weapon. In 2010 the British were using 440 of these rifles.

This gun is extremely popular right now. I bought mine back in jan 2012 and it took 6 months for it to arrive in the store. So getting one right now is really hard unless you have connections like i did. Currently it is sold out on there web store with a 1 year wait. You can view it here. LMT Store .308.

AUG stands for "Armee Universal Gewehr" Which means "Universal Army Rifle".
The STG 77 was designed to be the main battle rifle for the Austrian Army, since 1979 many other countries have adopted it into their police and military forces.
Ambidextrous Rifle, and features interchangeable barrels that can be quickly switched out without breaking the gun down.

It is implemented with a 2-stage trigger, pulling it half way causes it to fire semi-automatically, pulling it all the way causes full auto fire.
The barrel features a 6 right-hand grooves and a rifling twist rate of 288mm (1:9).
This gun was made famous to the younger crowd do to the Call of Duty Franchise, which uses this gun in its Modern Warfare series.

The Steyr AUG is a excellent battle rifle, as well as a fun civilian semi-auto shooter, although illegal in California do to overall length, it can still be purchased in most states.
I love this gun because of its look, its long service life and simplicity of shooting. It is capable of almost all attachments.
